The Review:

This novel will break your heart, leave you gasping for air, and make you cry. An incredible narrative that may take its time to hit you, but once it does, it hits you hard. The title of this book has a significant importance in the plot, and it is also a significant date for the individuals you will fall in love with.

The way this novel strikes you over and over again by tearing your heart out and then punching you in the face is painful, yet you keep reading with tears in your eyes to find out what happens next and hope for happiness for the characters who are making you weep like this. While reading this story, I felt a pang in my heart, yet I still enjoyed it. Yes, you may believe the stars, high scores, and reviews are bogus at the beginning of this work, but once you get to the part where it starts to strike you, that's when it starts to receive all those five stars and hundred points.

Only a few novels and stories can provide you with all of your feelings and emotions, but this one did. It's packed with angst, love, heartbreak, twists, and turns, and so much more. I believe that readers who enjoy tearjerkers will enjoy this, but it is also for everyone, and any reader may read it just for the pleasure of reading a wonderful narrative and having a nice time, albeit with a lot of tears and pain. Here I want to recommend one more tearjerker called "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini.

It is written from two points of view, which makes it even more lovely, and I enjoyed it even more since it would not be as epic if it were simply one person's point of view.

I can't say anything else since anything else I say would inevitably be a spoiler, and I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so I'll just stop. But there's one more thing I have to say, and it's what I usually say when readers dislike the book and the author because of characters they don't like. They must grasp that if all of the characters are flawless, the storyline gets monotonous and dies before it can live, so simply embrace the defects and how these imperfections create a tale and twists and turns that make you want to read more and more, which is what is known as a page-turner.

Final Thoughts:

One of those novels that you want to forget and revisit only to feel all the emotions it elicited. Colleen Hoover understands how to sucker punch the reader, then she grabs your heart and smashes it into pieces, just to later glue it back together. Even though I am not interested in the genres she writes about, I have read practically all of her works, which is a testimonial to her excellent writing abilities.

This novel made me laugh, weep, worry, and feel all that the characters were feeling. It genuinely makes the reader feel like they are a part of the tale. You feel as if you are in the narrative with the characters, which is just another testament to the author's exceptional writing ability. Be ready to cry a lot. I had no notion that some people enjoy tearjerkers and seek out literature that will make them weep. I realized why people are hunting for these books after reading a couple of them. I believe that these books should be read by everyone since they help to purify the spirit. Please leave a remark or write me to discuss this topic and let me know if I'm correct.

The Review:

A multi-layered family drama centered on a missing person mystery. Apart from being a little too long in the middle, author Liane Moriarty uses a full complement of expletives in her writing. It isn't gratuitous, but it is excessive and adds nothing to the plot or characters. There's a lot of suggested violence and sexual stuff, but nothing explicit. But, if you think it's getting dull, don't stop reading or give up because the finale is one of the best I've read in a story like this in a long time.

This is a long narrative that will keep you entertained for a long time. While trying to figure out what happened to Mom, there's a perfect opportunity to put your family therapy skills to the test and brush up on your tennis skills.

It's simple to understand. Despite the fact that the middle portion was utterly unneeded, I finished the book in three sittings because of the wonderful mystery and family drama. You'll enjoy this if you like the author's previous work, but even if you don't, you'll enjoy it at the end.

At first, I noticed, one thing was missing, and that was her normal thoughts on people, relationships, and families, among other things. But it's a good thing I was wrong because everything comes flooding in towards the end, and you understand what you've been missing all along. This paragraph is actually for the fans of Liane Moriarty and who already read her previous books.

This novel can add a subtitle that might be "bad, toxic, and convoluted relationships," and it reminded me of all the problems individuals face and how they suffer simply because they don't grasp the differences between these types of relationships and complicated relations. Many of the behaviors that a person is forced to endure are not acceptable simply because of a close or any form of relationship. A lot of this stuff bothered me, and I feel compelled to warn the readers about it in case they get enraged or feel anxiety while reading about it. And yes, I believe all of the characters in this story, if they are actual people, require counseling.

After finishing this novel, I discovered something I had always assumed before reading it: you can love someone even though you know you can never trust them, but you can still care for and love them without allowing them to harm you again by not trusting them. It's difficult, but not impossible. Like a close relative, such as a brother, sister, mother, or even your own kids.

The audio version of this book is amazing and I really recommend it, just check the sample at the link provided and you’ll know why I am recommending it.

Final Thoughts:

I must acknowledge that this book does not measure up to the author's past works, but it is a fine novel, and if you approach it as if it were a new novel by a new author, you will realize its true beauty. The only reason a work like this receives low marks is because readers enter it with high expectations.

As with many novels with problematic characters, this one has a lot of them, and many readers just want to read about ideal people, which is why they might not enjoy it; yet, it has a fantastic plot with problems and secrets. The only reason I can't give it full points is that there was a period in the middle of the book when it seemed to drag on for no apparent reason but basically a good read at its heart.

Synopsis:

“#1 New York Times Bestseller

From Liane Moriarty, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, comes Apples Never Fall, a novel that looks at marriage, siblings, and how the people we love the most can hurt us the deepest.

The Delaney family love one another dearly—it’s just that sometimes they want to murder each other . . .

If your mother was missing, would you tell the police? Even if the most obvious suspect was your father?

This is the dilemma facing the four grown Delaney siblings.

The Delaneys are fixtures in their community. The parents, Stan and Joy, are the envy of all of their friends. They’re killers on the tennis court, and off it their chemistry is palpable. But after fifty years of marriage, they’ve finally sold their famed tennis academy and are ready to start what should be the golden years of their lives. So why are Stan and Joy so miserable?

The four Delaney children—Amy, Logan, Troy, and Brooke—were tennis stars in their own right, yet as their father will tell you, none of them had what it took to go all the way. But that’s okay, now that they’re all successful grown-ups and there is the wonderful possibility of grandchildren on the horizon.

One night a stranger named Savannah knocks on Stan and Joy’s door, bleeding after a fight with her boyfriend. The Delaneys are more than happy to give her the small kindness she sorely needs. If only that was all she wanted.

Later, when Joy goes missing, and Savannah is nowhere to be found, the police question the one person who remains: Stan. But for someone who claims to be innocent, he, like many spouses, seems to have a lot to hide. Two of the Delaney children think their father is innocent, two are not so sure—but as the two sides square off against each other in perhaps their biggest match ever, all of the Delaneys will start to reexamine their shared family history in a very new light.”

It Ends with Us

Published: 2, August 2016
Author: Colleen Hoover

Genres: Humor & Entertainment, New Adult & College Romance, Women's New Adult & College Fiction, Contemporary Romance, Women's Fiction, Adult, Romance

Warning: This book is for adults due to graphic scenes and very sensitive subject matter.

The first thing I want to tell you is that this book is going to make you cry. One more thing about this book is the way it is written, so I suggest not reading anything about this book before reading it because you should find out everything while reading it for yourself. There are crazy twists and turns in this book and if you found out before reading then you won’t enjoy or like it.

This book is about making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. This book is not for the youngsters but I wish it was possible to let the young ones read it just so they can learn from it and don’t make the mistakes that lots of our young generation make. we all need to understand that a few seconds can make or break our lives so we need to be strong and be able to decide when those few seconds come knocking on our life’s door.

It is a message for people who sometimes don’t dare to do things that can change a life for good but after reading this those people can gain strength and confidence. This writer always has something in everything she writes, even the name of the book is not just a title, it has a meaning and near the end, you are going to understand what it means and you are surely going to freeze on the pages that are going to reveal this meaning.

Some female readers are not going to like this book at all and may tell you not to read it but what you are going to read is happening in our world even in these days and it is better to read the book just to know what it is all about and why some of these people hate this book so much. I can’t give away anything so I can’t even discuss the issue here.

It is a beautiful and well-written story and it is going to grip you hard but only if you are willing to learn from this book. Nothing more can be added (because of no spoiler issue) except it is another one of the must-reads from the author and even after finishing the book it is going to stay with you for a long time and may make your eyes sting from time to time.

Synopsis:
“SOMETIMES THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU IS THE ONE WHO HURTS YOU THE MOST

Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.

This book contains graphic scenes and very sensitive subject matter.”

The Last Thing He Told Me

Originally Published: 04, May 2021
Author: Laura Dave
Genres: Adult, College Fiction, Women's, Detective, Fiction, Mothers & Children, Suspense, Family Life

Once more a book that is going to divide the readers on the quality, story, and all the aspects of this book. For some, it is going to be great and for some, it is just a waste of time. I am on the side of people who are going to like this book. The story has twists and what you are reading at the start is going to change into something else. It was like the writer started a story and then by the end, it was changed into another story. The problem with writing a review of this kind of book is very hard if the reviewer can’t share any part of the story to keep it spoiler-free.

Few things that I wanted to see was a bit of backstory between the husband and wife and her reasons for doing what she did for so long and one thing that I never like is the part or information from a story that is purposefully hidden from the reader and I hate that kind of writing. So get ready to be disappointed or mad if you don’t like this trick of keeping stuff hidden from the reader. I personally don’t like it but in some cases it can be okay if that is what a good story demands. Let me know in the comments what you think of this kind of trick from this book.

The twists in this book are worth reading and are surely going to make an impact on most of the females in my opinion. But still, this book is a very fast read and very simple in many ways. Think of the story as a video game and the setting is on very easy so the player can beat all odds and win in one turn. That is how simple this is for the characters in this book. I think that is enough that I can tell without spoiling this book for you.

From The Back Cover:
“#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED, BEST BOOK OF SUMMER SELECTED BY * VOGUE * USA TODAY * ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY * CNN * TOWN & COUNTRY * PARADE * BUSTLE * AND MORE!

A “gripping” (Entertainment Weekly) mystery about a woman who thinks she’s found the love of her life—until he disappears.

Before Owen Michaels disappears, he smuggles a note to his beloved wife of one year: Protect her. Despite her confusion and fear, Hannah Hall knows exactly to whom the note refers—Owen’s sixteen-year-old daughter, Bailey. Bailey, who lost her mother tragically as a child. Bailey, who wants absolutely nothing to do with her new stepmother.

As Hannah’s increasingly desperate calls to Owen go unanswered, as the FBI arrests Owen’s boss, as a US marshal and federal agents arrive at her Sausalito home unannounced, Hannah quickly realizes her husband isn’t who he said he was. And that Bailey just may hold the key to figuring out Owen’s true identity—and why he really disappeared.

Hannah and Bailey set out to discover the truth. But as they start putting together the pieces of Owen’s past, they soon realize they’re also building a new future—one neither of them could have anticipated.

With its breakneck pacing, dizzying plot twists, and evocative family drama, The Last Thing He Told Me is a riveting mystery, certain to shock you with its final, heartbreaking turn.”

The rating for this book was not easy to give, because I found this a very simple read, and many people may not feel satisfied by it, I wanted to give more points but that will be cheating with my readers.
