Once more a book that is going to divide the readers on the quality, story, and all the aspects of this book. For some, it is going to be great and for some, it is just a waste of time. I am on the side of people who are going to like this book. The story has twists and what you are reading at the start is going to change into something else. It was like the writer started a story and then by the end, it was changed into another story. The problem with writing a review of this kind of book is very hard if the reviewer can’t share any part of the story to keep it spoiler-free.

Few things that I wanted to see was a bit of backstory between the husband and wife and her reasons for doing what she did for so long and one thing that I never like is the part or information from a story that is purposefully hidden from the reader and I hate that kind of writing. So get ready to be disappointed or mad if you don’t like this trick of keeping stuff hidden from the reader. I personally don’t like it but in some cases it can be okay if that is what a good story demands. Let me know in the comments what you think of this kind of trick from this book.

The twists in this book are worth reading and are surely going to make an impact on most of the females in my opinion. But still, this book is a very fast read and very simple in many ways. Think of the story as a video game and the setting is on very easy so the player can beat all odds and win in one turn. That is how simple this is for the characters in this book. I think that is enough that I can tell without spoiling this book for you.

From The Back Cover:
“#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED, BEST BOOK OF SUMMER SELECTED BY * VOGUE * USA TODAY * ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY * CNN * TOWN & COUNTRY * PARADE * BUSTLE * AND MORE!

A “gripping” (Entertainment Weekly) mystery about a woman who thinks she’s found the love of her life—until he disappears.

Before Owen Michaels disappears, he smuggles a note to his beloved wife of one year: Protect her. Despite her confusion and fear, Hannah Hall knows exactly to whom the note refers—Owen’s sixteen-year-old daughter, Bailey. Bailey, who lost her mother tragically as a child. Bailey, who wants absolutely nothing to do with her new stepmother.

As Hannah’s increasingly desperate calls to Owen go unanswered, as the FBI arrests Owen’s boss, as a US marshal and federal agents arrive at her Sausalito home unannounced, Hannah quickly realizes her husband isn’t who he said he was. And that Bailey just may hold the key to figuring out Owen’s true identity—and why he really disappeared.

Hannah and Bailey set out to discover the truth. But as they start putting together the pieces of Owen’s past, they soon realize they’re also building a new future—one neither of them could have anticipated.

With its breakneck pacing, dizzying plot twists, and evocative family drama, The Last Thing He Told Me is a riveting mystery, certain to shock you with its final, heartbreaking turn.”

The rating for this book was not easy to give, because I found this a very simple read, and many people may not feel satisfied by it, I wanted to give more points but that will be cheating with my readers.
