Peter Straub

Biography

Peter Straub has written seventeen books that have been translated into over twenty languages. 

Ghost Story, Koko, Mr. X, In the Night Room, and two collaborations with Stephen King, The Talisman, and Black House, are among them. 

He has published two books of poetry and two collections of short fiction, as well as editing the Library of America's edition of H. P. Lovecraft's Tales and the forthcoming Library of America anthology, American Fantastic Tales. 

He has received eight Bram Stoker Awards, two International Horror Guild Awards, and three World Fantasy Awards. 

He was appointed Grand Master of the World Horror Convention in 1998. He received the HWA's Life Achievement Award in 2006. 

Poets & Writers awarded him the Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award in 2008. 

He received the World Fantasy Convention's Life Achievement Award in 2010.
