She is one of the most searched and read authors of all time with over a billion books sold in different languages even after her death.

And Then There Were None is a mystery novel written by late great Agatha Christie, which she has described as the most difficult of her works to write. Ten Little Niggers, after the children's counting rhyme and minstrel song that serves as a major plot element, was first published in the United Kingdom by the Collins Crime Club on November 6, 1939. In January 1940, a US edition was released under the title and Then There Were None, which is derived from the song's final five words. Except for the Pocket Books paperbacks published between 1964 and 1986, which were titled Ten Little Indians, all subsequent American reprints and adaptations use that title.

The book is the world's best-selling mystery and one of the best-selling books of all time, with over 100 million copies sold. The novel has been ranked as the sixth best-selling title in any language, including reference works.

If you never read her books before then you better start with this book because this book is going to show you what a genius she was in writing and in making plots.

For me, this story was one of her best works and shows her brilliance one very page. It is a masterpiece that is in words instead of a canvas, the ending is going to blow you away and that is the max I can tell you about this topic.

It has amazing character development, a top-notch plot, and a blow you out of your seat ending, in addition to the mystery. The novel's originality is nothing short of breathtaking! In terms of psychology, character development, and literary style, no other "mystery" novel comes close, in my opinion. Simply one of the best mysteries ever written by one of the greatest authors of all time. Only one book is better in terms of mystery, and that is "ABC Murders," but this one is still superior in terms of all other aspects of the plot and style.

As you can expect with this kind of book, you are going to be twisted and turned many times and this will make you turn page after page till you are at the end of the final page.

Warning: If you buy the “harpers kindle version.” BEWARE - They included a major plot spoiler by adding a page from Christie’s autobiography in the start of the book, so please be advised and don’t read it before you are done with the main book.

Blood of the Dragon, a novella based on the Daenerys Targaryen chapters from the novel, received the Hugo Award for Best Novella in 1997. The novel was named a New York Times Bestseller in January 2011 and reached No. 1 on the list in July same year.

I must confess here that, I belong to the five percent TV watching population of the world who never watched the show “A Game of Thrones.” (I am planning to watch but have no time to do it at the moment.) 08.15.2021

The thing about reading any book by Mr. George R. R. Martin is that you can never fully follow a character because he/she can be killed off at any moment. What I figured out is that the author creates stories like he is God and he controls who lives and who dies because he can create as many characters as he wants. One hero is murdered… no worries I give you two more to love till I decide to kill them too. He doesn’t care if a character is popular or has an army of fans; he just kills the character when he feels like it. But I like this strength in a writer because I believe when you are writing; you are the God of whatever you are creating. Some Authors do it to be famous for killing off a loved character but not this author, he does it because he wants his books and stories to be as realistic as possible even it is in a fantasy setting and mainly he shows the death is real and it can come to anyone at any moment.

These stories are different in terms of good versus evil because the author is known for deviating from the typical fantasy model and drawing clear lines between good and evil. In the author’s own words: "I think the battle between good and evil is fought largely within the individual human heart, by the decisions that we make. It's not like evil dresses up in black clothing and you know, they're really ugly".

The alternating points of view of all the sides and characters is a very good idea when writing a book, it actually expands the reader’s view and explains what is actually happening and the reader can choose sides or in some cases feel what the writer intends the reader to feel. The book is huge and may take some time to finish but that is the beauty of it. It is not just a story, you can actually feel the vast world with a history of what is what and who is who in this world. Very few writers act as the “God” when they are writing and creating a universe on paper for the reader to get immersed into it.

He even writes about the clothes in full detail. Sometimes I don’t like to read that much info like the color of the curtains or what kind of flowers are on the table…that is too much sometimes but some people like it so it is not something to deduct points from a book’s scorecard.

The way humans are doing things that can’t even be mentioned here is normal for the period that is depicted in these books, so don’t think that the author used it for sensation or more readerships.

And as always, the book beats the TV show because of the detail and difference. I think it is better to read the book first but as with many people who watched the show first, it is going to give new insight and open up a huge box of info that they never had while watching the show.

The only reason I am not giving a full rating is that of the uncertainty these books cause about your favorite character's life. Otherwise, the books are going to be remembered as legendary tomes by some wise deity.

A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks

Today I was not planning to review this book but changed my mind because the book I was originally planning to review is a bit dry and may take a little longer; by the way, that book is written by a writer called George R.R. Martin and I’ll post that review next.

Mick Foley was a wrestler and if you don’t know him then you missed a legend in action. He was one of the toughest hardcore wrestlers ever and broke many bones (his own) and took many falls even it is entertainment but still it hurts when you fall from two-story buildings or from an equally high cage. He bled, got burned, wrestled in a ring surrounded by barbed wire instead of a rope, got beaten by bat with barbed wire attached on it, and even lost an ear during one of these matches, I think he lost his tooth in the ring also but can’t recall that at the moment. (I’ll update as soon as I get the true info)

He actually wrote this book and as people may think, he never used a ghostwriter like what normally happens with these kinds of autobiographies.

It is the true life story of this legend written while on the move from city to city and from state to state. He wrote all of this by hand because he claims his typewriter was broken. This book is huge and has more than seven hundred pages with pictures from his real life and the ring. You feel like being on a funny and frugal life trip with him while reading this amazingly written full of wit and full of life experiences. I finished this book in three days even with all the other stuff I am usually doing because I was not able to stop reading and every time I had to do something, this book was at the back of my mind.

One more book like this is the story of Stone Cold Steve Austin. It was an amazing story also but I am not sure if Mr. Austin wrote it himself. But it doesn’t matter because it was as good as this one and I am surely going to review it soon because he was my brother’s favorite wrestler.

Back to this book… Mr. Foley had so many personas and you are going to love reading about how he created these personas and backstories of why some personas were named. I am not using any names just in case a reader is new to this and wants to enjoy the book without any spoilers. I think it is better to read this book as a story of a guy who wants to be a great wrestler and see what happens to him from the start to his legendary and iconic status.

Did he win any championship? Why don’t you read and find out… I believe some wrestlers are not the champions, because they are the champion makers and even I am not telling you if he became a champion or not but he surely was a champion maker. Like other legends, Undertaker and Kane were two icons but they were champion makers even though they were above champion level. The same goes for Mick Foley.

A real page-turner that is not going to disappoint you even if you are not a wrestling fan. One of the best autobiographies out there that showcased the hidden talent of Mick Foley that no one knew about before he wrote this book. This book is the one that started the trend of autobiographies of wrestlers.
