Biography
Richard Chizmar is the author of Gwendy's Button Box (co-written with Stephen King) and A Long December, both of which have received several honors.
His work has appeared in a variety of magazines, including Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and many editions of The Year's 25 Finest Crime and Mystery Stories.
He has received two World Fantasy Awards, four International Horror Guild Awards, and the Board of Trustees Award from the Horror Writers of America.
A Long December, his third short story collection, also was published to starred reviews in Kirkus and Booklist, and was featured in Entertainment Weekly.
Chizmar's work has been translated into multiple languages throughout the world, and he has appeared as a writing instructor, guest speaker, panelist, and guest of honor at various conferences.
