Matthew Theron Ruff (born September 8, 1965 in New York City) is a thriller, science-fiction, and comic book author from the United States. Fool on the Hill, Bad Monkeys, Set This House in Order, The Mirage, and Sewer, Gas & Electric are among his seven novels. Jordan Peele, Misha Green, and J.J. Abrams adapted his 2016 novel Lovecraft Country into an HBO series. HarperCollins released his latest novel, 88 Names, on March 17, 2020.
