Biography:
The author is a New York City native who now resides in Los Angeles. He's the author of the bestselling novel House of Leaves, the National Book Award finalist Only Revolutions, and the novella The Fifty Year Sword, which has been performed at REDCAT three times on Halloween.His works have been the subject of university classes and literary events, and they have been translated into multiple languages. Danielewski's THROWN, a reinterpretation of Matthew Barney's CREMASTER 2, was shown at the Guggenheim Museum's Storylines exhibition in 2015.
Pantheon published five volumes of The Familiar between 2015 and 2017, each an 880-page installment about a 12-year-old girl who discovers a kitten and sets off a chain reaction with global ramifications. The New York Times dubbed Danielewski "America's foremost literary Magus" after the series' release.
